All The Great Things All the great things happen When you least expect them to happen They happen to distract you from the shit that happens in your life All the bad things happen Cause’ you’re waiting for them to happen They happen when you open your arms and Invite them into your life But all these things don’t matter If you put on a happy face No matter how your enemies, or friends Or family think you should act like Cause’ all the great things that happened Through your life, have made you realize that you should have, could have, would have done it all over again And again, and again and again and again... ———————————————————— Let’s sing a song tonight Let’s drink till morning’s light This is not paradise Take what’s wrong and make it right No need to justify Regret or analyze Just open up your eyes Do what makes you satisfied

The robot age Big black mirror on the wall Who’s the emptiest of them all? Fictitious life spread on a facebook page Welcome aboard to the robot age Big black sister in the hall Who’s the most racist of us all? Dividing lines between us and them Forgetting the fact that we are all the same Chorus: Ain’t no computers Ain’t no cellulars Ain’t no TV Nowhere to escape Ain’t no decisions Ain’t no arguments Ain’t no opinions Ain’t no sides to take Follow the leader, no matter where Burn the witches, kill the snitches Turn on the electric chair

Too little too late They say that I’m a late bloomer That I should have woken up when i was young But I have no room for regret, nor agony or debt I’m only here to make some BALAGAN Chorus- I’m proud of all the things I got With hard work and faith But you keep always telling me “Too little too late” The way was long but i stayed strong Destroyed and re-created But still your voice inside my head “Too little too late” They say that I’m a daydreamer Placing bets and staring at the sun But I’m not here to amuse you, Corrupt you or abuse you Just do my thing and try to have some fun Chorus- I’m proud of all the things I got... It’s true that I’m a bit different Than all the other faces in the crowd But i don’t intend to change Adapt or re-arrange I’ll prove you wrong, I’ll sing my song out loud Chorus- I’m proud of all the things I got...

Catastrophic Life Wake up in the morning go to wash my face I brush my teeth I come my hair this day is great I take my phone to text There is pain inside my chest Got 27 calls from my angry ex I take the kids to school And I’m always late We get into that argument you always hate I’m trying to be correct understanding what you feel I pay the bills, i take my pills, a lousy deal. How did I find my self In the back sit of your life? Why did it feel so good When u stabbed me with that knife? Catastrophic life Woke up in the morning, couldn’t feel my legs I had this crazy dream we were having sex Remember in our honey moon, You tied me to the bed Didn't let me go till I was playing dead They tell me I'm possessed, and I think they're right I smell your howling breath like a wolf at night We’re fighting all the time ’cause you tell me that I’m vain I got to see the kids before I go insane My mother in law, the money I owe, the nightmares I had and the things that I saw My body and soul, my life as a whole The buzz in my ears and the ache in my throat The lies that I make, the pills that I take The bridges I break and the hands that I shake The life that I leave the stuff that I give The stories I tell and the smiles that I fake How did I find my self In the back sit of your life? Why did it feel so good When u stabbed me with that knife? Catastrophic life

Golden Tooth My father had a rule in life If you don't steal, you don't survive He didn't have so much to lose- A wedding ring and a golden tooth My mamma had some heavy bones She killed ten burglars on her own Finally, she had her share Lost a fight to grizzly bear My uncle owned a liqueur store I used to wipe him of the floor When I found him pale and blue He had in his hand a pint of glue My sister liked to wear a short dress One day the neighbour grabbed her ass Surprisingly she didn't care Dress on the floor, legs in the air Chorus A wedding ring and a golden tooth I haven't got so much to lose No flashy car, no fancy home This golden tooth is all i own I'm staying here, don't want to leave No better options up my sleeve Anywhere else i'll be a clown I've never left this shitty town My barber had a thing for knives He used to try them on his wife He went too far and cut her ears Now he's in jail for twenty years My neighbour had a pizza place So bad you wouldn’t dare to taste When they came to shut him down He took his own life with a plastic gun My brother had a winning horse Won his bets but lost his house He found a coin that changed his luck Got ran over by a pickup truck My youngest son was not that bright He couldn’t tell his left from right Luckily, he had a gift Made us proud as the village thief

Can’t Get It Up All you want is making love But i'm 55 in September I'm a disappointment, I'm a flop And my partner here is out of order It’s not you it’s me, can’t you see? You have a body like a pear tree And you taste like a banana But I'm expired baby, tough luck Chorus Can’t get it up can’t get it up I can’t get it up, woman's going crazy Can’t get it up can’t get it up I can’t get it up, why is it so lazy? Not sure if I'm up for the challenge I can't find my pills of charm Just a zip from the spring of youth and I am back in my baby's arms Im back in business, on top of my game For 30 minutes I'm a superman You can squeeze me like a lemon Better use me while you can Can’t get it up....

about

After Mania Regressia and High Words, Tel Aviv’s grandfathers of punk are back to present their latest album Catastrophic Life. Grandfathers of punk?! Not all band members will agree. In fact, several talented young bloods joined the ranks of the Jewish Monkeys over the past years, flashing polyphonic brass and shredding guitar riffs to keep the old guys on their heels. The ten new album tracks were all written by the band itself and see the expedition venturing into unfamiliar territory. Judging by their previous two albums, we were well aware that popular shtetl tunes blended well with ska rhythms. This time however, they up the dosage, adding afrobeat, reggae and funk licks, Caribbean flair, wild guitars as well as a pinch of Balkan sauce to the driving mix.

about

Jewish Monkeys Tel Aviv, Israel

Jewish Monkeys are a wacky Kleizmer-Rock/Pop burlesque band from Tel Aviv. Their story begins way back in the 1970's, when two of their singers meet in the Frankfurt Synagogue boy's choir and became best friends forever. Three decades later, joined by a third member, they become the deliciously irreverent trio they are today, dubbed The Jewish Monkeys.
